The Power P's of Enduring Success - Revisited and Expanded - Preview Part 1

Currently I am busy working away on an inspirational e-book about the Power P's of Enduring Success.

Since I blogged about them on this site, I have continued to add more motivational P's and an e-book allows me to expand on each one as necessary for you to not only grasp the concept, but put it into active use in your life.

Over the next couple of weeks I'm going to give you a preview of the E-book.  For now, we'll take a brief look at the first three

Power P's for Enduring Success

Purpose - Purpose is your 'Why'.  Why do you exist?  What do you really want to do with your life to give it meaning?  What is your driving motivation?  What pleasure will success bring? What pain will failure result in?  If you do not know, specifically, why you want, what you want, how can you hope to sustain?

There is no wrong answer to your own personal 'Why' in life.  As you grow and experience more, your Purpose will likely change and grow with you.  However, you must always remain clear on your life's ultimate goal.  Fuzzy goals makes for fuzzy results.

Most people have no idea what they really want to do with their life and merely make a life out of filling the void this creates.  You can choose anything as your Purpose but ultimately, it must be spiritual in nature, for only that will bring real lasting joy.  Do not depend on or wait for others or even God to tell you what your Purpose is.  You don't need to, God has already scripted it on your heart.  Follow your bliss.

Passion - Your passion is like a fire, it must be given fuel to burn and fanned to become bright. When passion is turned into a bonfire, it will keep you warm through the coldest nights. Neglect it and it will burn out quickly.  Purpose is fuel, Promise fans.

There will always be challenges in life.  Seemingly insurmountable hurtles between you and fulfillment of your goals or Purpose.  Failure will happen, but it is not to be feared, but embraced as a stepping stone to success.  Many give up after only one failure and many more allow the mere thought of failure to sap them of all will to try.

When you are truly Passionate about your goal, there is no failure, there's only positive and negative results, and no amount of negative results will discourage you from discovering the secret to your own personal success.  This may seem like asking for a world of hurt, but when one is truly committed and will simply accept no other result from life, life recognizes that and gives it to them.

Promise - Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt... ...you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done." - Matthew 21:21. Whatever righteous thing you ask for, and do not doubt, is given to you - in God's time and by God's design.

Man is so often thwarted by the test of time.   Jesus did not say the mountain would move instantly, yet that's what we expect to see; Instant results or at least, immediate signs of progress. However, even when Jesus cursed the fig plant, it did not whither and die on the spot, it was not until they returned the next day that the disciples saw it had died.  When we look only at the physical results before our eyes, and then doubt, we steal away our own God given promise.

Henry Ford set his best engineers to the task of making a six cylinder engine.  After a year of failures they reported back that it was an impossibility.  Ford, [confident in his Promise], told them to continue trying and gave them nothing else to do.  They soon succeeded in doing the 'impossible'.  Hold on to your Promise and never let it go.  The enemy will always cloud your vision and try to steal it.
