The Power P's of Enduring Success - Revisited and Expanded - Preview P3

Continuing our preview of the topics in my upcoming e-book on the Power P's of Enduring Success.

So far we've covered:

In Part 1:
Purpose
Passion
Promise

In Part 2:
Plan
Positivity
and
Persistence

As these were all premises I've blogged about before (the book will cover all of these in greater detail than what's ever been included in this blog as well as some exercises), I thought for this installment we'd look at some of the many new 'Power P's' that are being introduced in the e-book.

The Power P's of Enduring Success

Project - And expect!  The one thing that sets mankind over and above all other life on Earth is our ability to imagine a future that's different than what we're currently experiencing.  Unfortunately too few of us are actively using that God given power.

"Some look at things that are, and ask why. I dream of things that never were and ask why not?" -George Bernard Shaw

Visualize your intended state of being as if it’s already happening. Feel it, live it in your mind's eye (Passion). Then release it to God in full expectation of it being made manifest (Promise).  Create a Plan and put yourself into immediate action (Progress) but do not worry about exactly How it will be made manifast.  Leave that to God, just focus on your What and Why (Purpose).

"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." - 2 Corinthians 4:18

Praise - Give thanks for everything in life, even those things that challenge you (Price). This is easier said than done for a lot of us as we've established a pattern of negativity.  It's easy to comiserate with your friends and co-workers.  Turn it around and giving thanks for those challenges in your life will seem odd and insincere at first, but it is an attitude that, if practised and maintained, will free you from the bondage of self.

"Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish." - John 6:11

Take note of how Jesus always gave thanks for everything.  Even when in man's eyes there was nothing to be thankful for.  Jesus thanked for Lord for the four loaves and two fish when everyone else would have been cursing and complaining that it wasn't enough and they would all go hungry.  Jesus understood this principal.

An 'Attitude of Gratitude' will keep you in line with God.  It is faith in action.  You are acknowledging that everything is there to serve you, or God, regardless of if you can immediately see it or not.  Living in a state of Praise gives you grace to move through the day, reducing your stress and allows you to remain focused on the things you want, not the things you don’t.

Protect - Your mind (and through it, your faith) is your most precious asset. But the garden of your mind is only as fruitful as the seeds you plant in it.  Like a garden you must choose what you want to grow there and then carefully tend to it.  Without constant watch, weeds will always take root.  Most of us don't actively pay any attention to what's being absorbed into our minds, and then we wonder why our minds are overridden with weeds.

Protect your mind from negative thoughts, short sighted people and news headlines. You are what you eat. Feed your mind only empowering thoughts and useful knowledge.  Cast out negative thoughts, distance yourself from negative people and stop reading the News.  Keep focused on what’s important (Purpose) and your Promise in God.
